Come Dance With Us!   

It is my privilege to serve as board president for this wonderful organization. For quite sometime, I have been thinking about how to give back to children. What came to mind must have been due to synchronicity.  

The "vision seed" actually began with my daughter TiAnna who organized a dance group comprised of kids at the Blazer Boys & Girls Club. As a volunteer dance coach, she created a program that was more than dance. For many of the children, participating in the group was the highlight of their day. 

What we have discovered is that we have a program that can help bring about an innerchange in children.  Dance can connect children to their communities and the world thus create a nucleus of children who could change the face of our nation.  A big idea?  Maybe so. But, I believe in possibilities and am optimistic that our kids can make great things happen if we guide them in the right direction.

I believe there are no bad kids just misguided kids. This is not to say that all of our youth can be saved.  We have lost many of them to drugs, violent crimes, abuse, and early death; unfortunately, we may lose more.  It is my hope though that we can make a difference in the lives of children and help them make positive choices. I believe dance can help us to empower children to see the possibilities.

Timing is imperative for any new idea to bear fruit. And I am confident that now is the time for Dance It Up-KidsUSA;  therefore, we invite you to share in our excitement. We utilize the power of dance to coach children into capable youth who can excel in school, gain optimal social and physical health and become positive role models within their circle of friends, families and communities. Who would have thought that something as simple as dance could do so much for so many children? 

Dance It Up-Kids is definitely unique. It teaches kids a variety of skills that can help to enhance positive behavior, academic learning, build self-esteem, as well as provide a means for physical activity.  Through dance, children can also learn how to get along with children from different backgrounds, by learning to respect and appreciate a variety of cultures.

Who We Are

Meet the Dance It Up-KidsUSA Team. We are a group of compassionate individuals with a big vision--all children have the potential for greatness. 

Two of Dance It Up-Kids founding members will serve on the leadership team.  They are: TiAnna McDaniel, VP of Programs.

The organization also consists of an initial, diverse and growing  board of directors.  The leadership staff will be responsible for managing and directing all activities. The board will be responsible for fiduciary matters and strategic planning.
